In December 2021, the chosen theme is Christmas. For Norwegians, Christmas is synonymous with family time and traditions. We gather around the dinner table for our traditional Christmas meals, we eat our traditional 7 different Christmas cakes to our coffee, and we light the fire, a lot of candles, and snow lights. And most important – we have to make sure the Norwegian Santa (the “nisse”) is happy – so make sure to give him the Christmas porridge, so he takes care of your houses and animals.
